I'm looking to buy a nice s/speed frame.I've already got a 29er geared frame,I'm looking for a nice frame that i can put a pair of jones bars on and some nice surley/salsa/pace forks.I've not got a grand to spend on a frame.
Photos and advice please will be a great help.thanks for your time and help.

Salsa el mariachi is £500 and has clever dropouts aka flopouts
Niner SIR9 would be great but around a grand.
Also look at singular
Surly karate monkey is a good cheap option.

Nowt wrong with a 29er Inbred, although that Niner SIR9 would top my list if funds permitted.

And that bikemonger bloke above...without a doubt the most helpful chaps I've ever dealt with in my years of riding. Wish they were my LBS.

I have owned 3 dedicated ss frames so far, Fisher Rig (EBB), vassago jabberwocky and on one scandal (track ends, the latter is still in service and my 2nd favorite), but the frame that's been working best as a ss, and also in general is the paradox, which is not a dedicated frame. nevermind the added weight, short and stiff chainstays give a consistent advantage when standing, sprinting, climbing etc.
