It isn't for a CX bike but my regular MTB with a 29er rear wheel. Not enough space for a 29er 2" tyre so a CX should be fine.

commuting on conti speedking 35mm, just don't lean over too far onto the knobbly edge bit on tarmac, the experience is "interesting" but does wake you up in the mornings!

They're also tubs. I'd just look at a reasonably priced 700c 34-40 tire and see what turns up.
