720mm and 117g does not compute!

Are they for real? Can anyone over 8st ride them?

I was using the Strut's but the lack of backsweep really made my wrists hurt even on short rides. Try before you buy as they are very straight compared to most bars.

Can't find anything over 720mm myself that isn't a poor shape, or almost the same weight as an ally bar. Found a couple of 740mm carbon bars that I liked the shape of, but at about 230g they were saving a max of 50g over an ally bar of the same shape so I deemed them not worth it. The Kinesis Strut bars would be ideal if they just sorted the blooming shape out!

For now running 740mm Ritchey Trail 2X bars. £30, 275g, 740mm wide and a nice sweep to them.

I have these: Gravity Light CSI Flat Bar. They're a mix of carbon and alu, I can't tell they're not completely carbon!

Another +1 for the strut, I've got flatties on my Sync and risers on my genesis fortitude, a nice comfy bar (for me anyway)

Just checked, no rider weight limit, they're actually 710mm though.

cheers all. £90-odd is a tad steep for me so I've got:

Easton EC70 (9deg and 720mm for £70 at CRC) or

The Kinesis Strut (6deg and 720mm for £75 at Winstanleys)

May go for the Easton as I prefer a 9deg.

3T does some, I like their bars.

Are they strong enough for unskilled trail riding, or are they a bit XC?

Mt Zoom flats on all my 29ers. Great bars in a "never given them a seconds thought" kind of a way.

My Carbon Cycles handlebar has been great.

750mm wide, weighing in at 160g for £60 it has done me well for the last year

It's a good bar that but a kind of funny shape- I ended up having to roll it up to give it some upsweep, and that meant it didn't have enough back, for me anyway. Swapped for the Superstar one which is a bit heavier I think but good value and a more normal shape.

I've got two sets of 740mm 3T bars, one is 12 the other 9°, and they are pretty cheap at CRC. The lightest is 188g.
