Looking to build a single speed mtb so what's the best kit out there for a free hub mtb wheel?

Velo Solo make really good quality stuff, they have spacers and cogs. The stainless cog on my ss is still in great condition.

Yes as above velosolo or surly. Get a stainless cog and separate spacers. Lots of thin ones are better than 2 big ones as they will allow you to fine tune the chainline better.

Chain - a 3/32" kmc or similar is best. Avoid sram Pc1 chains.

Charlie the bikemonger is good for this stuff along with velosolo. On one do a good and cheap stainless chainring too if you need one.
