I'm thinking of selling my 1993 cannondale m300 Franck roman signature model bike. In pretty decent condition for its age, still sporting its bright red frame. I just need a rough guide as I don't know if its worth say £20 or £200. Any advice more than welcome.
Probably nearer the former than the latter.
Stick it on here

They have a "what's it worth thread"
If in nice condition £200 is achievable in my opinion(depending on groupset/parts)
are you sure about the year? Cannondale didn't make an M300 in 1993 as far as i know, it came in 1994, although there might be a few mid year models, they did seem to release when they felt like it!
Anyway, Classic 'dale, cantilever dropouts, 3 series frame, pepperoni fork, might have a little value, but a 3.8, which i believe is what you have i suspect has very little value.
It is worth sticking it on Retrobike to see, but don't expect much would be my advice.
Perhaps it is a 1994, I knew it was around that time.
Thanks for the info gents.
I paid £225 for this '99(?) model:

And bought this for a colleague for £160, in need of new chain and sprockets:

I got £250 for a knackered old m300 with the matt weird grey paint finish. I'd be surprised if it went for less than £150 as there seem to be no end of people for whom optimism triumphs over experience in regard to old bikes.

This is true - however mrs_oab is yet to find a bike that is lighter, nippier and better for her. Sure modern bikes would have 0.5* off the head angle (I just put a fatter tyre on...). That f900 is *incredibly* light frame and forks - it must be nearly the same as a new carbon + posh SIDS type weight. The forks have runs smooth and supple for years, without service, and are set up for a 7st rider perfectly. Hope minis may not have the *ultimate* stopping power of newer brakes - but like so many things biking wise, the rider is the limit not the uber £800 forks and super £300 disc brakes etc etc...
Old Dale frames are light, with headshok working are very robust, and some rightly are still good value and valuable.
Hmm depends very much on the condition of the frameset and also the usability of the kit on it, plus how original it is. Factory fresh with original kit might be £160-£180 if you could find a buyer who wanted that particular model.
Rough frame needing paint with knackered and worn kit? £40-50.
/Good point
/Well made
