I think he is still going just got rid of the shop. I don't know him but I know people who know him and he comes up in general convention. God that is a ugly sentence.

His fb page suggests that he is surfing, riding bikes and hanging out with gay bykers... on acid

"there’s a reason he wanted to sell out at ££££££££££££ lmao"

Sick of dealing with idiots?

He certainly didnt make a fortune, IIRC, his shop was up for sale at £130k, we even thought about buying it, but backed out as, basically, cycle shops are dying, and to make even a semi-decent living, we'd have to work far harder than we do now, with no certainty that we would still be trading in 5 years time.

I last saw him at the NEC Bike show and I bought a Surly fork for my Sherpa, my mate Eric bought a whole Karate Monkey.  He's a regular on the one cogger FB group, easy enough to track down.

Still seems to be selling stuff/posting videos from the shop on Facebook?

Always had really good service whenever I've phoned up the shop.

communicated with him this week about a big dummy. Sounds like he's still in business. Went by the shop a couple of weeks ago on sat am and it was closed. don't know if it was closed down or closed up for the day?

I'm still here. Still have the shop as we could not find a buyer with money, which is sort of the idea ;-). Still racing, and riding.  Working less hours, and less days and spending my free time running "wild Isle Kitchen" which cooks foraged food as a pop up restaurant, and bike races. Gravel Dash is still a big deal, and a bloody long way. Bum Butter is still fillinga  crack in the market.

So the shop is still here, but we do pull some weird opening hours. Only 2 or 3 people work here, and to cover all hours on all days with a bit of illness and family stuff proves tricky. Best call before you make a journey.

My Carlsberg/Best Bike Shop in Swanage T-Shirt is my favourite T, which of course means it's now threadbare and my wife hates the sight of it.

Still, best freebie ever, thanks CtBM!

My van with the I Brake for Cake sticker is being traded in at the weekend, and I don't like the replacement as much. I'm going to miss that v.... sticker.

Having stickers on a bike is pretty sad though. Bead blasted graphics are where it’s at!
