My Fox Float RL 2006 130mm forks are poorly. There is a scary creaking noise coming from the crown/stantion assembly, LBS said it sounds like the bonding is coming apart and that he would not use them. Due to my £200 budget here are my options...
1. But a new crown/ stantion assembly from mojo for £135 and carry on running my 6 year old forks.
2. Wait for a decent looking newer (2010 ish) pair of Floats on the sales forum and run all the usual risks that come with 2nd hand gear (including what has just happened to mine).
What is the difference with 2006 and 2010 Floats? Had there been any major advances worth paying for?
