After nearly drowning my nice new 6" smart phone the other day....
...what waterproof pouch do people recommend?
Are there any that make pressing the hardware buttons (on/off, vol) on the side of the phone easy?
Do any have the ability to allow touch-through to the capacitive screen?
Easiest to open and close?
Ones that arent massive that you can still shove in big shorts pocket?
aloksak work well as a relatively cheap option.
Sansung S5 is waterproof as it is.

Good thinking. I'll just go and buy one to replace me new phone.....
Lifeproof have been the best I've ever used.
Taken beatings, washing machine, toilet, rain (lots and lots of rain) and the Solent and kept going.
The only "issue" has been where they changed the charge port cover on the 6/6S and its a known warranty fail.
In fairness - they shipped a new one out in 48hrs without question - they just ask for a pic of the serail numbers inside the case.
unfortunately lifeproof are model specific and they specifically dont make one for my phone model. I need a generic 6" one.
I use one of those toughish waterproof bags you get from various outdoor shops, the type with the fold over top with some velcro. Cheap, will take a variety of phones and you can use the screen and buttons without much trouble. They add some bulk especially the velcro bit but that's OK if it's going in a large pocket of if you have no shame and wear a fanny pack 🙂
no shame and wear a fanny pack
someone's keeping up at the back.
Have a gold star 😉
