Bit of a numpty one this - I need to replace the rear tektro V brake on my tricross (broken spring). Can I buy any old MTB V brake caliper and it will work, or is there something specific I need to look for? I know the cable pull can be different between brake types, but is this taken care of with the lever?

The Brake will likely be a Tektro Mini-V, this will work better with the lever and is a good brake to boot.

yeah, I think they were supplied with mini vs, not normal Vs.

I've got some old ones you're welcome to Mike, you still Montpelier?

Nice one Iain - still in Montpelier. I fancy getting out tomorrow night for a Pentlands spin - if you're riding yourself I can see you there for them.

Good stuff Mike, I'm on site tomorrow but should be back in time to make the ride, otherwise I'll pop by afterwards or something.
