So, a big chunk of glass has finally done in my favourite Krylions, which seem to be impossible to replace at the moment

So, what similar tyres are around, in 700x25 flavour, to use instead? Bonus points if you can recommend something around £50 a pair as "we" are on an austerity month, (unless buying jumpers at 2 for £50, having seen a receipt she left out today....)

oooh, oooh
me sir, me sir
I went from Krylions to Conti GP4000S a couple of years ago and never looked back
not within your budget but you could just get one for the front and a cheapo tyre for the back

You can't find Krylions because they've been replaced by Pro 4 Endurance.

I've used Krylions for years, they're brilliant. A mate at work has had both the old krylions and the new Endurance and reckons they're even grippier.

Best of all, Merlin will do them for £49.99 a pair with another fiver off at the checkout.

You can thank me later. 😉

Merlin seem to only have them in 23mm width?

Ah, missed that in you original post.

25 Pro4 Endurance exist certainly, same as the Krylions.

Not spotted any other deals though.

I've been using Pro4 Endurance on my winter bike for the last couple of weeks and on some pretty grotty roads and I'm very pleased with them. Only a couple of tiny knicks so far. They feel really nice, not much different in feel from the Pro3 races on my race bike. So they grip well and make for a comfortable ride. Long may they last!

GP4Seasons are good but getting under 50 might be tricky
