A mate of mine who isn’t really a ‘biker’ is keen on using his near-vintage Marin mountainbke for some fitness/sanity road loops. Something slick/semi-slick that makes road miles a bit more pleasant than grippy off-road tyres. They’re obviously 26” and prob about 2.1 width. What’s a decent tyre for not big bucks that’ll do the job? Something that offers a bit of puncture resistance too would be a bonus...cheers

Schwalbe Land Cruisers
Rolls reasonably fast on the road on the central ridge.
Very cheap.
Good puncture resistance.
Good on gravel tracks too.
