Clearing out some bikes to make way for another.
A 2016 Dartmoor Hornet frame, 160mm Manitou Mattoc Pro forks, appropriate wheels, drivetrain, etc gathered.
It will run 650b / 27.5" wheels.
So, looking at getting an On One Chunky Monkey in 2.4" front and On One Smorgasbord 2.25" for the rear. They will be set up tubeless.
Decent combo for rocky trails, etc?
I've been running a Magic Mary Soft up front for a couple of years, all year round and can't see me ever changing. Love it. Was running a Hans Dampf for about 18 months, but recently bought an Onza Ibex 2.4. I think I've found my new favourite rear tyre, although I bought the very soft 45a race compound, cos it was really cheap on Merlin Cycles. I am definitely buying another Ibex, but in the harder compound.
I do believe the combination you are considering is well thought of on here, though.
