Hi there,
I am mainly using my bike for the commute to work that is a mix of a gravelly well drained path and the road.
The 2.3" MTB tyres I have on there are dragging really badly.
What I am after is a recommendation of a nice chunky tyre that will not drag too badly on tarmac but also be reasonable on a gravel path...
Any ideas? I am thinking of a BMX style tyre? I certainly want something more robust than a 1.75" road type tyre.
Thanks.
Rysz.
specialised crossroads have been great for me in the past. probably even better nowadays...
I've used Spesh Crossroads in the past too and they worked quite well on a mix of road & gravelly 'off-road' type stuff.
Lasted ages too.
something like this should be alright.

Thanks for the advise I will go looking!

I bought myself a set of Specialized Hemisphere Armadillos years ago when the old bike got relegated to commuting duties.
The same pair are still going strong. No punctures in around 5 years either.
