got some money in my Paypal account and thinking about what things i could do with. Been thinking that a turbo trainer/rollers might be a useful way of sorting out my fitness over the winter.

What is worth looking at in the 100-150ukp range?

and for getting fit do rollers offer any advantage or would i be better off sticking with a turbo?

I have a GIST fluid trainer which is very good, not very noisy and has quite a bit of adjustable resistance. Cost me around £120 from my LBS.

I have a nice CycleOps Mag drive with cable adjustment on it which has been hanging on the wall of my garage most of its life.

Some people swear by them but other like me just swear at them. Bit of an impulse buy that didn't really work for me. I'd rather just head out for pootle.

Tacx Sirius is the one I'd go for. 10 resistance levels and very quiet - just about as quiet as a fluid trainer but with the resistance control of magnets. Nice and stable too.

I agree
But be warned-turbos are mind numbingly boring unless you have a training programme worked out. Also think about getting some training vids from sufferfest.com
Rollers are a useful addition as well but if you can only get one or the other the turbo is far better for threshold work
