Struggling to even understand what I need, Lezyne produce more CO2 inflators than seems possible.
What do I actually need? Patches or those little worms. 16g or 25g C02?
Are lezyne good or something better?
Thanks
Never needed a co2 inflator, in fact afaik they didn't play nice with some sealants.
You need tubeless 'anchovies' - many different brands, and most are pretty similar.
Different applicators, from the basic Weldtite one, to posher ones like the Lezyne.
I've never not been able to pump it up again with a mini-pump, you just need to get the anchovy in asap.
Decathlon do anchovy’s set for a fiver.
Thanks, I’ve got a decathlon voucher. Need a pump as well.
Got a slit in the tyre last week and used a Stans dart - worked great.
I tend to carry anchovies but also carry a tube tbh. Last thing I want is to be pushing a crippled bike for miles when the old tried and tested would let me peddle home!
I carry the Nukeproof tubeless tool & also a tube in an enduro strap.
I carry a spare tube and one of the Dynaplug racer tubeless repair thingys.
And a pump !
In order of desperation:
Anchovies and applicator
pump
paper tissue (to check for thorns)
pliers (to remove thorns)
innertube
Dynaplug racer tubeless repair thingys.
Can recommend these. Looks awesome (who doesn't like anodised aluminium?). Even better, I haven't had a puncture since I bought one so they definitely work.
I don't carry a spare tube on my fat bike - I very much doubt I could break the bead trailside - its very tight and tricky to do and the tube weighs 500g.
So far so good but I accept this means there might be an occasion when I have to walk home
I must get a tubeless repair it tho
I have a Pro bike tools kit and cannister strapped to the frame ever since I had a tyre gash leave me stranded.
