Is there anything specific that can be used on this? I need to remove the gold collar to service the dropper but can't undo it even with strap wrench and post in frame.
Any tool that could be used in the holes in the collar to get much better purchase? Any bodge suggestions if no tool?

TIA for your suggestions!

You need a C spanner for that, but the trick is knowing what size.

Vice chains would have that off in a jiffy 🙂 (think oil filter tool attached to a vice grips)

A small strap wrench will probably do the trick.
