The bloke in the Tidworth shirt is speaking for all of us, I think.
Just because it's got 26" wheels there's no need to be rude, we can't all keep up with the latest fashions
I shouldn't, but I really want a go on that.
I wouldn’t be seen dead on that.
I mean, who on earth rides with mismatched tyre brands?!
Saw them in the alps a few years ago too.
Extreme dropper post innit.
One press of a lever and a full bike pops up.
You can rent these in Luchon (and probably other MTB resorts). I always though it was aimed at beginners but it should be fun:

Not new. Got overtaken by a local on one of these in Les Arcs (on Woodstock) 3 summers ago. *hangs head in shame*
Also saw some tourists have (presumably their first) go on them: they are, as you would expect, utterly shite unless you are very good.
He's in Whistler and I'm stuck at work in the pissing rain. I don't care what he's riding I'd trade places in a heartbeat.
I struggle to ride a scooter on flat ground - I'd end up really broken if I had a go on one of those!
If I understand this correctly, you're supposed to tow them round with a team of huskies.

But people seem to just use them for fairly lame DH stuff. Think I'll stick with a regular bike.
About 3-4 yrs ago i saw one at Abergwyngregyn in Snowdonia, the rider had just come off Drum. it had 200mm Boxxer front forks and a 200mm front Hope brake. The back wheel was smaller than the 26 front. I dont recall rear suspension.
The rider told me it was to exercise sled dogs, but also made an epic DH weapon.
It looked fun
that youtube video makes them all look like ewoks!
I don't get what they actually offer over and above riding a normal bike though...?
Wow they look lame....
I bet they teach you to pump like a demon
I bet they teach you to pump like a demon

I thought we stopped doing phasing in the 5th series?
Only in STW can we niche the niched.
(Looks great fun BTW)
What about that doesn't look like massive fun?
- No pedal strikes
- Seat dropped all the way
- Obviously DH only
- Light as
Very low and slack and it doesn't have to be long so you can get your manual on. Perfect park "bike" I'd have said. ;o)
A place near me rend them out , electric ones . 2 wheel drive , 24inch wheels , heavy duty sus forks .
great fun going downhill .
On a more serious note, I reckon I’d want my feet more widely spaced, rather than almost together for rowdier trails
Plus nowhere to sit down...
