I'm considering some suspension on my currently rigid Marin Pine Mountain. How do I know what travel suits the bike? Axel to crown measurement I suppose...

They're 110mm boost, QR, and it's a 27.5 plus.

Lost touch with all this boosty plus stuff innit.

Cheers 👍

The Pine Mountain 1 (which I own) has the same frame as yours, and comes with a Rockshox Recon RL 120mm. It's a 51mm offset 29er/27/5+ with a boost 110 x 15 thru axle. The Pine Mountain 1 does have a 100 x 15 boost front hub, so you would need a different wheel or a new hub in your wheel to make it work.

I'd expect most 29er boost 120mm forks with a 51mm offset should be ok.

If you did get another wheel or hub where the hub uses interchangeable end caps you'd be able to switch between thru axle 15mm end caps for suspension forks or QR end caps for the boost QR rigid forks. Same applies to the rear converting from 148 x 12 boost thru axle to 141 QR boost, just swap end caps.

No worries.

Just noticed a typo in my last post though, the Pine Mountain 1 has a 110 x 15 boost hub, not 100 x 15.
