Hi all. I bought a secondhand kona stinky, and a previous owner either weighed 25 stone or used the bike for excursions into low earth orbit.

The rear shock is a Fox DHX 3.0, and the spring has 500 written on it. I'm pretty sure it has x2.80 written on it too. Online spring calculators suggest 500 is a lot for a 10.5-11 stone rider, but they do require me to guess (or even "know") the rear wheel travel.

What spring range would you suggest for the below bike?
TIA

The stinky was 7" travel. Plug that into the calculators
