Evening all,

I've got a Hope PF46 BB fitted into a Specialized Stumpjumper which, when the crank is properly torqued up, has around 2mm lateral travel.

A small spacer or two (and yes, I realise I've probably got one on my garage floor somewhere! 🙁 ) will no doubt sort the problem, but I'm a bit bemused as to where to find them. Can anyone help?

Bottom bracket in the frame or axle in the bottom bracket?

I had to add some axle spacers to my sixc cranks to work with my hope bb.

Axle in the BB. The BB itself is perfectly snug.

So yes, it's axle spacers I need. 🙂 Where did you get yours?

Thanks! 😀

I did get some from Wheels, but having tried to fit them this evening, it would seem they're spacers for the BB in the frame, not the axle in the BB.

Our Hope ones, fitted to Stumpjumpers and Enduros, came with two black washer/spacers. One to fit either side. Once fitted the bit of play was taken up on the non drive side adjuster on the SRAM cranks.

There's a non drive side adjuster? What does that look like?

All I've got on mine is the one central bolt in middle of the drive side crank arm?

If they're SRAM bb30 there's a big adjuster ring with a small Allen bolt on the NDS. This takes up a small amount of play.

I used 30mm sump washers (copper or aluminium) off eBay when mounting RF Turbine in a Hope PF46
