Parking is a nightmare around our way, so I'm looking for a van small enough to park but big enough to convert to carry 1 bike, sleep in and brew a kettle. It doesn't need to have rear seats. What would fit the bill??????

I can do all the above in my Escort van but no one wants one of those these days as they are rot boxes so, around the same size, I'd be looking Transit connect LWB, Caddy etc.

Even a " normal " Transit or Vivaro, if you go for the smallest, will fit in a normal car park space.

sleep in

How tall are you?

Small vans such as berlingos etc are about 1.6m long in the back - some earlier models of berlingo had a partial bulkhead fold down passenger seat though. Not sure if they still do that though.

Parking is a nightmare around our way,

A vehicle size space is a vehicle sized space. A fiesta or a transit van will fit in it. An issue with small fwd vans is they can have pretty big turning circles because they don't have much steering lock. When I lived in a network of tiny one-way street lanes in glasgow my SWB, RWD sprinter was easier to get parked than anything else because the amount of lock you can get is bonkers they're like a london taxi - so it was much better at getting into small spaces than smaller vehicles. I use my mums berlingo sometimes and its like a barge by comparison in small spaces.

Medium sized, FWD vans like T5s seem to be the worst of both worlds - they feel like a much bigger van than they are in confined spaces because they're got very little lock and a lot of length between the front and rear wheels.

Thanks, something to think about. Mac, I hadn't thought about that. Moses, I do like the idea of a Nissan. I had a Note as a hire car for a while, really impressed, loads of very clever storage space....
