Ok, this might turn out to be a dumb question but here goes...

I've bought an Orange Crush frame with SLX brakes and RS Sektor Gold forks. Pretty much everything else I need to build.
How can I tell what size rotors I need?

Cheers

Small = lighter
Big = more power

I run 185mm (I think, could be 183mm or even 180mm) on the front and 160mm on the back.

Biggest the forks will take I reckon. I've got 203mm on mine.

"My brakes are too good" said nobody, ever.

Will you be riding on a conveyor belt?

180 front, 160 rear is pretty much a standard starting point, then you can adjust up or down on size depending on your type of riding and weight etc.

I have 200mm front - 180mm rear, a hangover from when I used to go to the Alps, but 180-160 is actually more than fine! 🙂

I used to run 203f/183r but currently experimenting with 180f/160r due to the theory that larger discs don't generate enough heat. So far, so good.

When I go on holiday, I move the front to the rear and put a 203 on the front as the weather is warmer and the descents longer and faster.
