I am thinking of getting a Giant X1 and dont know what size of frame to get i am 5'11". I have been riding a large Specilized fsr But shortend the stem and used a seat post with no lay back. Dose anyone have any tips.

I'm 5' 11" too and ride a medium sized Reign X1. Wouldn't want to go bigger, but likewise I think the small would be too small for anything but pure downhilling.

Check [url= http://www.test-the-best.co.uk/ ]here[/url] & you might be able to go along and try for yourself. If sizing for the AnthemX is anything like the Anthem you'll probably fall between medium & large depending on your reach & preference.
I looked at/demoed a medium (and I'm the same height).
It fitted fine. If I get the cash together I'd go for a medium for sure.
But then I bought a large Motolite which was too big (the medium being 'just' too small...) and flogged it. Twice shy and all that...
(For reference, my current bike is a 17.5" Soul)
