You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So, my single speed rear wheel has finally failed, it was built on an old Hope bulb hub and a Stans Flow rim.
I was using this most days and since lockdown using it daily for some exercise. So what's the current favourite 29 ss wheel of choice?
ta,
I'd go Hope Pro4 SS hub on the DT Swiss rim of choice (XM481 is i30) with DT Comp spokes.

That is what I’ve just done albeit 27.5. Only things to consider are the Hope SS hub is weighty so if that matters to you look elsewhere. Not sure where the weight comes from, probably the short steel HG freehub. And do you really want a single speed specific hub? More choice if you use a regular, adaptable hub and SS kit
If weights an issue, go DT all the way with a DT 240 SS hub too 👌
Weight isn't a huge issue, well not for the bike at least! Me on the other hand... well could do with shifting a few pounds.
I may just buy a Hope hubbed rear wheel, not a single speed specific. Just need to get one quickly.
