[Closed] What sealant for WTB tyres...?

Bought some WTB Resolute tyres to go on my gravel bike, and some Effetto Mariposa Végétalex to put inside them. First impressions are that this combination isn't compatible, as the sealant, isn't sealing.

When I fitted them yesterday, they were pissing sealant just above the bead:

Went to the shed this morning, to find both tyres completely flat. I pumped the tyres up and went out on a couple of local loops of around 10 -12 km in length, centred on the house. Each time I passed the house, I had to pump the tyres up, as they're still pissing sealant out the sidewalls.

Has anyone else used this Végétalex stuff and had it seal anything...? I've never had WTB tyres before, so I'm not sure what the best sealant to use is? I has Orange Endurance in my GravelKing SKs last year, which worked most of the time. I'm assuming I should just switch back to using that...?

Rene herse recommend panaracer sealsmart for their supple tyres so might be worth a try for WTB tyres. Rene herse tyres are made by panaracer so there’s some bias, but it’s worked well for me.

With the old WTB light carcass tyres I had this issue a few times. A set by of 27.5 X 2.25 Riddler's I had 3 sets warrantied until I gave up.
BUT they've now made the light carcass sidewalls different (stronger/thicker?) and they seem fine.
So maybe these have the older style carcass?

After lots of faffing about with other sealants I always end up going back to Stans race. It just works.

The only flaw with it is you can't top up through the valve as the fibres clog in a syringe.

Although it seems to last a very long time and I suppose you could top up with something else as all the additives would still be there.

Got orange seal in one set of resolutes and muc-off in the other set, both tanwall.

Just got some squirt sealant in to test/review which looks interesting with the extra beads

I have WTB tyres on 3 bikes - use Orange Seal with all of them.

I've used stans on loads of WTB tyres, all gone up absolutely fine.

Byways, riddler, trailboss, and vigilante

Stans on Byways with no issues. They might not be Byways, can't remember. But definitely WTB!

It's the tyres, not the gloop. I've had more than one set of WTB tyres where one of the otherwise identical pair has weepy sidewalls. I have just tipped more gloop in to compensate and they eventually seal up.

Stans was fine but I've gone over to oko magic milk hi fibre, it works about as well (I can't say for sure if either is better but they both do the job) and it doesn't dry out the same (in fact it's water soluble).

Stans here too and I’ve tanwall resolutes and not a hint of sidewall seepage.

Tried numerous cheap alternatives.. they are all crap compared to Stans.. Regular stans is ok . Stans Race is better on bigger holes though.

I use Caffélatex from that manufacturer op and I've not had a problem with it.at all.

I ditched Stans after having problems with it where the sealant would separate into a gloop and leave a puddle of "oil" in the tyre. Never did figure it out even after posting on here and asking Stans for help.

It's never once not sealed a new tyre fitment or a puncture... and I'm notorious for riding straight through bramble and Lord knows what else as I can't steer for sh*t.😁
