Have recently bought a Saab 9-3 Estate. It doesn't have roof rails, but does have a 'fix-point' mounting system. I checked a couple of websites before I bought the car and it looked like there were plenty of options for roof bars. Have just got a Thule kit and fitted it, but there is a big and untidy looking gap between the foot and the roof line. I e-mailed the supplier a photo and they said that was just the way it was. They said it was mechanically sound but agreed it looked untidy. They have agreed a full refund including postage so I have no moans there, but does anyone know what a good alternative would be.
cheers
Tim
I got a Thule aero bar kit for my 900 (new model) -- one with bolt points. Looks OK...
Unfortunately I think the footkit for the 9-3 estate is nadapted from a BMW design and doesn't really fit so well.
worth giving roof box a ring (unless they were original supplier) - they're very good..
