Looking at a interest free option preferably. Looked at Scott Solace 30 and the Ribble Sportive racing. Anybody any experience with either of these?

Any other options I should be looking at?

I'd go with something like http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m7b0s6p5237/CANNONDALE-SYNAPSE-CARBON-105-2013

Depends what you want really, for me at this price point I'd go for a Giant Defy 0 and then spend the rest on a nice set of wheels. But that's just me. So much choice at this price point.

Nice Synapse!

2014 CAAD 10?

Boardman? Use the 15% offer and British Cycling 10% and pay by vouchers if you can buy them from your workplace for another 10% off.

Oops now it's 10% off via quidco. Might come back soon.

One of these for sure. You can twiddle about with the spec so you won't have to change much when you get it.

Over budget of course!

The Ribble got a fantastic write up in Cycling Plus. Absolute bargain!

Some good suggestions there. Really like that Camyon but out of stock on my size. I don't know what it is, but I can't quite get round to liking Cannondale road bikes. Can't deny the above are well priced! I like the Planet X bike above, but not 100% sure if I like the graphics. I know that's bad, but it is a factor.

Nothing by Ribble can hold a candle to any Cannondale!

I've got a Ribble R872, absolute love it and couldn't recommend enough. Geometry is spot on and the bike is a pleasure to ride.

Got a mix of Tiagra and Ultegra on mine, plus some Campagnolo Zondas. Build came in at under £1200, with a couple of bits nicked from my other bike.

Ribble have got them with 105 groupset and Fulcrum Racing 5 wheels for £1100.

Not the trendiest bike, but great value for money.

Ribble Gran Fondo here was recently available with full Ultegra for £1k. Spend £200 on a wheel upgrade, stretch to Mavic Ksyrium Elite S if you can. The deal can be had on other frames too. Super comfy and plenty racey enough for me!

Not sure which version it was by worked on a PX road frame that was so flexy you could make the tyre touch the chainstay just by putting pressure on one of the pedals... So that put me off them a bit.

I looked at loads, tried a few & bought one of these - it's been a great find & considerably better than the Spesh Tarmac it replaced.

Sounds like you're a Ribble man to me. Do you own a Mitsubishi Warrior and is your favourite clothing brand Firetrap?

Why would that be the case if I was a "ribble man"?

TBH if it were my money I'd probably try to stretch to this...
https://www.canyon.com/en/roadbikes/bike.html?b=3589

Or as suggested above a Defy 0 and a set of wheels - maybe Ultegra.
