It seems I'm in for RideLondon.

Have never been comfy on my road bike, time to sort that out. (Actually I suspect it's too small but need to know for sure).

Any recommendations for fitting services please? Ta.

Sigma?
Just try your local LBS, but don't suddenly change everything to their viewpoint. Someone I ride with spent £200 on a bike fit and rides with locked out arms and complains about how his shoulders and neck, and feet hurt all the time, but won't change his bike set up because that's how he was told to set it up.

There's probably loads closer to you but I'll recommend Mountain Trax near Wokingham. I've never had a bike fit from them before so they might be rubbish, but they recently (last year I think) got all the gear and training and they're a very nice bunch who ride a lot.

Mike at BikeDynamics on Leamington is good. Admittedly he's not in London but he is good.

IMO/E there's no need to pay for one for most of us, OK your LBS didn't get it right but it should get pretty close.

Why not post up some pics?

Personally I wouldn't use Sigma. I have a mate who works at Bicycle in Richmond. If you want a proper fit, go see them. It's a specialist high end road bike shop, they're good guys. 🙂

Sigma in kingston. getting anecdotal fitting advice from pictures posted on the internet is a recipe for disaster. a good shop will have a static bike with all the adjustments and the ability to change set-up instantly, not forgetting looking at your pedalling dynamics, cleat position and a flexibility test.

Cyclefit in Covent Garden are very good, probably the best and they've now trained up lots including I think Pearson Cycles. They also fit Cancellera.

Stop by and I'll fit you for free! It's not that hard. I've seen some dreadful fits from Sigma. Some shops will give a good fit as part of the service, depends who works there to be honest.

Cyclefit Pearson in Sheen was excellent for me and friends (they corrected a Sigma poor fit too). Fully equipped jig and video facility. Well worth it.

My wife had an excellent bike fit from Doctor D in Sutton. He certainly knows his stuff.

Maison Velo Reigate or C&N Redhill?

Geoffrey Butlers South Croydon?

The latter two are shops I've had decent service when I've been in for bits/advice. The first is newish, but may have something to do with the second.

Well I know Guy Rowland and the folks in Corridori, plus Dave Farmer in Cycleworks. These are fits are not in the same league as CycleFit, but you do pay for the Cyclefit appropriately!

AW Cycles in Reading did mine. Fifty quid I think but took the money off the bike I bought. Saddle is much higher than I would have put it but I have to say it works even with my ild bones.
