Need to replace the pads in the bb7s on my Kaffenback and Vaya used on road and easy bridleways. Faced with a choice of different types (sintered, organic) and makes. Anything to keep clear of or are they much the same? Looking for longevity and good stopping power if these aren't mutually exclusive!
cheers
The stock ones lacked bite for me, had better luck with Nukeproof sintered but could not get rid of the squeal in the wet, so changed for uberbike race matrix and have much better braking and feel all round. Seem to be lasting well after six months of daily commute.
Disco brakes here. They have a bunch of compounds. I use the ones with yellow backs.
cdoc, did the Race Matrix pads get ride of squealing in the wet then?
My TRPs squeal, always on the look out for improvements...
Yes on the front (hope floating rotor), but no on the rear (standard avid one that came with them), however, it did greatly reduce it.
Disco brakes Kevlar pads?
Superstar organics for me. They're cheap, they're quiet and they work.
And they're really cheap if you stock up when they're doing their occasional deal/steal/sale of the ****ing century/ season.
