What with winter here, my feet are not enjoying the cold at all. With my size 42 shimano am45 shoes being quite wide do I just go for xxl overshoes or are there any recommendations?
XL primal wear ones aren't quite big enough due to the narrow toe rubber.

What are you trying to achieve with overshoes? You would be better off with waterproof socks.
I'm trying to stop my feet getting cold. Thick socks, 2x thick socks, sealskinz socks - my feet freeze up and I'm trying to stop it happening.

Are you giving your feet enough room? Thin socks and waterproof socks, your feet will get cold if they are squashed up and can't move.
I'm not sure overshoes will have much impact. As K said, it might be you have too much stuff already, it's about layers with room to trap air, not just loads of layers.
