Hi,
In Mavic manual it says to use mineral oil Mavic 996 136 01 in Crossmax ST hub.
Can't find it anywhere - what else could be used?

Thanks
M

I have used Shimano brake fluid with no problems for the past 3 years. Don't use DOT fluid though!

I have Magura red blood mineral oil for brakes - I guess this should be ok?

Assuming the hub is similar to the Mavic road hubs then I use 3 in 1 oil. Any light oil will do, you don't want anything thick (especially not grease) because this will cause the freewheel to drag.

Asked the same question a few weeks ago. My lbs uses finish line wet, other places use Shimano mineral.

I just got the mavic one, if you are in Berks more than welcome to come and take some. If not then I ordered mine from here and they still have stock:
