Morning All
I need to get a new jacket as my 4 year old Endura Venturi sadly isn't up to it anymore.
I've looked at the Altura Night Vision standard and Evoin my local Evans but seemed to recall hearing they were a bit sweaty? The Endura Flyte looks sensible and the Altura Vapour as well.
I have a Mountain Equipment gore tex jacket I'm using for now but it doesnt have a drop tail and rides up at the back which isn't ideal.
Brass tacks would be ideally sub £100 and would be used commuting as well as off road.
I've also looked online at

Thanks all 🙂
Polaris Summit works for me - and looks good!
The Zenith is great.
How do you find the breathability on these as I tend to run a bit hot? I like that the Zenith has chest pockets that can double as vents as well as the ones on the sleeve.
Also how useful do you find the hood on the Summit?
Chest and sleeve vents both work well.
Have a Montane, sorry can't remember the name but I thunk it had 'extreme' in the title. Smock design with chest pocket vents and vents down the side and detatchable hood. Also has a removable crotch strap that can be used to stop it riding up. Got it mainly as a winter hiking and climbing jacket but does sterling work for biking as well.
How about the fit on the Zenith?
I'm a 39 chest which is the start of the large but dont want ti to be a sail.
Also any thoughts on the Hump Signal?
The hood on the Addict is massive (made to go over a helmet) only worn mine once and it did seem quite warm but it was still September.
Went for a large as my XL Endura jacket is a little flappy but had to exchange as the large was too tight around the shoulders.
Medium should be good I'd have thought. Mine is a small, and I'd say it's slightly generous.
Hump is from same parent company. Commute orientated with the money going into the reflective print rather than the fabric. If you run hot, the Zenith will be much better.
Addict is closer cut than the Zenith.
I have a red Altura Varium which I think is in Large. I have only worn it on two rides only and is in very good condition. Its too snug for me so I stopped using it. Its good a kind of a stretchy fit which is good if you dont like flappy jackets. I would sell for less than half price at £60 if you were interested send a PM cheers.
