I was in the same position and got a Garmin 920 XT and was able to sell on old running watch and bike computer. It was a nice upgrade as uploads via bluetooth where as old devices were via cable.

Watch is great, does everything, is very robust and is working fine now 2/3years later, battery life is still great too!

I ended up with the quick release kit too so I could swim with it on my wrist, move it to my Garmin mount on the bike so I could see it and then put it back on my wrist for the run. The only issue is that it makes the profile of the watch quite tall.

If it fails, I get another one in a heartbeat, dont like the look of the replacement with built in HRM.

I've got a Garmin Fenix 3 that does all I need for multisport inc. triathlons. Had it from when they first came out (2 or 3 years, can't remember!) and its been great. Its near enough the same innards as the 920XT but in a more traditional form so I can get away with wearing it every day. If you're not bothered about the look the 920XT often appears in Sport pursuit sales

Just taken a punt on the one with the integrated HRM as Millets are knocking them out at £290. A bit of an extravagance, so am hoping it is good!

Still use a Garmin 310XT and, whilst the newer ones are smaller and a little better, it seems to do the job. I'd be tempted to stay within the Garmin ecosystem if I bought another one, but the GF has a Suunto Ambit3 and it's a good piece of kit too.

I've got a Garmin Fenix 3 HR I've had for about a year now: can't fault it. It does everything I need (GPS, HR, Bluetooth / Wifi sync, clock, silent alarm for when I fall asleep on the train..) and it's basically bomb proof (it's the version with a sapphire screen).

It regularly get's caked in mud and has survived more than a few knocks with barely a mark on it (in fact it's usually the other surface that comes off worse). If I had one complaint it's that the altimeter can run away with itself sometimes but it's easy to reset and a fairly minor issue to me.
