TL;DR:

Want: XS size e-bike, doesn't need massive range... this is for 60-90 mins hooning up and down around in the woods. Future use would be a few laps of GT or Golfie.
Type: Trail/Enduro/AM

Details, details:

Never thought I'd be the one to start and e-bike thread but here we are.

SWMBO is on the short side, currently rides a Pivot Mech 5.7 Carbon. Awesome bike. She loves it. I love it. Enduro machine, super light. Raced all over the place and taken at least one whole trip round the world.

Two children later and our time for riding is much, much reduced. Fitness has gone down the drain and we want to get as much bang for buck (per hour) as possible when riding, which is typically now separate while we take turns with childcare.

Also want to be able to tow kids up climbs in years to come. DDv1 (4) is nearly too big for the MacRide, so will need towing up hills soon, while DDv2 (2) gets promoted to the MacRide. SWMBO can't fit the MacRide, there's no space in front of her between her arms. That and we cut down the steerer too much to add the MacRide spacer.

That's enough waffle and justification.

Type: Trail/Enduro/AM (ok so it will heavily cross-over in to the territory of the Pivot...)

I think with XS sizing there's no carbon offerings around, and few enough manufactures offering something in XS anyway. I think Specialized and.... ?

Yes I know we'll be lucky to get hold of something this year, that's why we're looking now.

TIA

What are the geometry requirements of XS? My other half is 5'5" and rides a medium 1st gen Levo FSR as, with an inline dropper post, the small would have been too small. Worth using geometry geeks.com to see if it can pull up something suitable.

We're talking 5'0" here (152 cm). Her bike is a XS Men's frame, but that's 2012 geometry on 26" wheels. A modern XS men's frame is likely to be significantly longer.

FWIW her current bike has a reach of 373 mm. the Canyon Spectral:ON XS has a reach of 425 mm. That's quite a big change in geo to get used to and will make the old bike a bit BMX-like.

As you can see, the 1st gen Levo FSR is pretty weeny compared to the current model. 30mm longer seat tube and 75mm taller standover than the Pivot might be an issue though.
