As above, all my aged saddles are in great nick bar scuffing at the sides.
Thick leather?
😐
I've used Shoe Goo to good effect before. Its also good for over-sealing worn seams on waterproof shorts.
Ta. Am thinking of impact-gluing on thick leather or similar.
I've used Araldite to patch up crash damage. Fills holes and covers scuffs and is pretty hard wearing. Doesn't look great.
Won't a patch leave an annoying edge?
Seamgrip seamseal
Its very grippy so wouldnt use it on the top or nose
Great stuff
Sugru
Hockey tape.
i used innertube, it lasted a couple of years.
Spoons are quite hard-wearing 😛
How about kinesiology tape? Very sticky, come in a range of colours and fairly durable.
Those new plastic £5 notes.
Collect half a dozen of them. Put them in a stack.
Take them to a shop and buy a new saddle.
+1 for sugru
Or some black polyurethane adhesive
Recovering a saddle is pretty easy.
Great for pimping that ride. My favourite was a purple lizards skin
Interesting, ta.

Some of us are interested in being something other than consumers (and smartarses).
If you rode more instead of leaning your bikes up against your walls they'd be less worn at the edges too.
(PS - shaken off the fakes yet? I was hoping to be able to buy you a birthday drink)
