Getting on OK with Squirt lube

Bit of a faff to apply but loads better at keeping the drivetrain clean

I use Profi Drylube in the workshop - amazing stuff, it penetrates into anything and then evaporates, leaving a really slippery Teflon wax behind.

TF2 all weather performance.

Didn't like squirt. Lasted about 5 minutes

Squirt, just reapply after each ride in these conditions.

I bought some Squirt as the write ups seemed good and people here rated it. It's pretty sandy here and it seems to attract the sand and my silver chain is black and sandy, as is my jockey wheels, cassette and front rings. I'm not impressed.

I was using Purple Extreme and had been for a few years. I'll be going back to it. Squirt don' impressa me much.

I'm quite liking White Lightening - Epic Ride.

Not too messy but doesn't vanish after a beck crossing like Squirt IMO.

I'll suggest Purple Extreme - I've been using it for five ish years now.

Typically I wash the bike, dry the chain, lube it, wipe off the surplus when I next go riding. My chain never rusts or squeaks (other than KMC ones) until I repeat the process. So four or five summer rides and one or two winter rides depending on conditions.

Expensive but I wouldn't use anything else now.

I also tried RnR Gold when my Purple ran out and wasn't impressed with that either.

I also find Golden Degreaser really good too (same stable as Purple Extreme)

TF2 all weather performance.

I'm trying this now too, a litre for £13 compares quite well to £7 for 100ml from most brands.

Seems good enough so far. Not too thick, not too thin.

Rock and Roll, the blue one, not sure what it is called.
Really good though.
Managed to get a bargain on CRC and got a 1L bottle in the sales
