I do not night ride but sometimes a ride can last longer than expected.
My choices are
CX Trail
Exposure joystick 10 or 11
ITUO WIZ20
I love my maxx-d so I'd say joystick.
I also found the exposure back up combined with the lbs handling the initial return was great when I had a minor switch/charger port issue.
Get a joystick and a red eye to go with it leave the mount on yer lid
Sorted
Impressed so far with performance of my cx trail.
Had an issue with the charging connector failing two rides in, but Ison replaced it within a couple of days.

failed again. not so impressed any more.
That is pretty poor
To the OP (from a week ago), you're spending quite a bit of money for a just in case light...?
Hope One is quite a good backup light - uses user-replaceable AA batteries which should have a very low self-discharge rate (so batteries will still work after 12 months of lying around in the bottom of your bag).
I bought a Joystick as a helmet light for night rides, but it's also become my just-in-case bar light too. When the trains are ballsed up, there's a particular station where they decide the train you're on is going somewhere different now. Packed platform, little hope of getting a bike on following trains that are already packed.
The wee town lights aren't bright enough for 20 miles of twisty, unlit, rural, tree covered, potholed roads, so it's good to have the Joystick with me just in case. And just in case I fancy a longer ride home. I got off the train a stop early last night and rode off-road over the hill. 50% for up hill, 100% for down. I'd be happy with less if I was being careful with the battery.
Loads of light. Nice spread. Small.
Edit: and I have never heard of the others, so my opinion isn't much use!
For a 'just in case' light, look at the fluxient U2 mini from torchy.
A Joystick is my choice to keep in my bag as an emergency light. Great bit of kit.
+1 for the Joystick plus a mini Red Eye. I rode down Holme Moss at night with one on it's own in sub-zero conditions when I was racking up miles for the Festive 500 a year or so back and my other lights ran out. Brilliant little light.
