Hey!

Well, just dropped the lowers to replace the spring on my MRP Ribbon coil, and this was on the end of the damper side stanchion.

My first thought was it is a piece of bushing, but it looks a bit too small...

Any thoughts?!

Does it's diameter match anything obvious?

It really does look like a bit of bushing.

It’s the travel spacer:

Nope, sorry - it's a coil Ribbon. Travel is adjusted on the spring side with a spanner.

I do think it's a Norglide bushing - looking at the only image of the Essential Damper I can find, I think it's the lower one here. What I can't work out, is what that bushing actually does!

Phone Ison on Monday or email MRP USA, they are pretty good with prompt assistance.

Yeah, I think that's it. Still can't work out what the bushing actually does though!

And why it would snap, it's not like there's any lateral movement in there.

That bushing is captive at the bottom of the stanction right? So helps the damper shaft track straight through its travel range.
Important or the damper shaft could bend
