last few years had a couple of Giro Xen's. Medium is a fine fit.
what are you wearing and your thoughts ?
fox's flux looks as though it offers excellent rear coverage...
TIA
Big fan of the Bell Sweep, find it a great fit, comfy, light, looks alright and pop the peak off for the road look.
On my third, other two have taken a good wack and kept my head in one piece, half price replacement without issue.
But as with all lids, it comes down to the one that fits best.
teh one that fits best
Specialized tactic. I barely know it's on and is well vented
Urge Endura o Matic. Very comfy, light and covers well down the back of head.
Uvex XP100 - ace comfy proper retention system.
Had similar "dilemma" a month a go, also had a xen medium that I really liked, spent ages in the shop trying on different ones, xc, trail and road style ones.
My opinions (fit wise):
giro aeon- comfortable
Giro atmos- uncomfortable, bits at the back dug into my head
Giro hex - ok-ish fit
Giro xar- comfortable felt just like the xen
Fox striker - comfortable but felt a bit too padded (pads too thick)
Specialized s works- comfortable -very light
Specialized prevail- So very, very comfortable and light but also not that attractive and expensive.
In the end went with the slightly boring choice of the xar, as it was discounted and fitted well. Very happy with it, but think Specialized prevail is the best helmet, if you don't mind the looks and more roadie style.
I'd offer my comment, but I wear a Hex, and Zens don't fit, so we wouldn't fit the same helmets...you are wearing one that fits?
Urge Endura o Matic, great fit and very light.
