You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
think 30c end of June , long days on natural alpine singletrack, hike-a-bike, mega sweats
Madison trial shorts? Anything else nice and airy and cheap?
This is my area of expertise. I always bake in baggies above 20 dgreesd.
I got these last year and it's like angels wafting cool air over you as you ride.
I've spent a fortune on shorts and these are the only ones I'm happy with.
Do those have pockets you'd fit a stupidly big phone in? For running, not riding.

TLD Ruckus. Basically the only shorts I now own. They arn't exactly 'cheap' at full price though. But you can usually get them in the sales (especially if you are not the usual 32 waist).
Shorts have big pockets but no closure. Break out the velcro.
Sirromj that was me. Perforations and tongue removal makes for happy feet.
I wouldn't wear shorts to a trial. No matter how hot, the judge won't look kindly.
😛
As for trail shorts - I've got some Humvee Lite Shorts. Still get sweaty knackers though - it's the pad and liner that makes me sweaty.
TLD Skyline. Love mine. Light and airy well vented and nicely thought out. Fit is perfect.
We have a couple of pairs of these which have always been good in the Alps, on offer at the moment.

Dakine do some shorts, I have a pair, and they're ridiculously light weight and airy, I'd 100% recommend them. I think they were Dakine Mode but I was in Leisure Lakes the other week and they had a similar thickness but named differently nd they had a mens version so I'd check em out.

Certainly high enough to reach your waist.
