Picked this Bad Boy up to build into a commuter, need a reasonably priced (i.e. cheap) headset for running standard 1 1/8" straight steerer forks. The head tube is really wide - 49mm inner diameter both ends (not tapered despite the look in picture). So I guess some kind of semi-integrated one, but struggling to find anything out there. Or maybe some kind of reducing shim adapters to put in so a 1 1/8" bog standard headset can be used. Any leads appreciated, cheers.

You need a ZS49/28.6 top cup and a ZS49/30 bottom cup. Should be fairly easy to find is used on some current DH bikes.

Could be this, best to check with the website:

https://www.cannondalespares.com/Cannondale-1.5in-Reducer-Headset-for-1-1_8th-Steerer--HD232-/product_detail/3-40375

Nice headset, I ran one in a Trail SL frame until it (the frame) cracked. I'm hanging on to it in case I end up with another Cannondale.

Is it not a specific one for the headstock?

Yep, Lefty/Headshock compatible headtube, OP needs it stepping down for 1 1/8" fork steerer - which is what the HD232 does.

Sorted, got it ordered now, turns out it is readily available as an FSA no.11n for 49mm head tubes and standard 1 1/8" forks. People at Cannondalespares really helpful and quick to reply.
