Something along the lines of a 2005 cove handjob as I love its handling.
I rule out on-one as I rode one and didn't liked it at all.
Not to fussed about the material, plastic, steel or aluminium.

oooooooooooooohhhhhhhh...

How about a Kinesis Decade Virtue?

Had a handjob, too - Found them very similar.

Kona explosif look great. I'll see if the LBS can have one. Looks like the kinesis is not imported officially in France so sadly it's going to be a no-no. But I loved the colour 😀

A bit pricey but Orange R8 maybe. I have a 2005 Handjob and I am quite tempted by the Orange because of the braze ons.

I love my Genesis Latitude

Now running a more svelte set-up minus the bashring and less burly tyres.

you're right that those early handjobs are fantastic handling. mine a lot more flexy compared to other steel frames i've had. i think the new ones, although i've not ridden one, have much stiffer tubing (as per the ISO standard "ping the top tube" test)

Over the weekend I noticed that the Santa Cruz demo folk, who were in bristol this weekend, had one of the new handjobs as well. Maybe you can book a demo if they're coming your way?

Looked pretty burly mind....

new one is tempting, however I fear the geometry is nowhere as good as the old one.
Chromag looks very tempting, but hell they are expensives.

i no what you mean about the ride
ive got the older version and hardly ever ride it
just cant bring myself to sell
because when i do ride it , it always leaves me smiling

The geometry is spot on, the ride is as good as my Ti hardtail

Hi Its a medium 17.5 i think
i originally had a large but found it slightly to big
im 5.10 and have a 32' inside leg
And the medium is spot on

If you replace it you will regret it
ive a whyte 19 ti and have to be honest the cove rides every bit as good
Hardly ever ride the cove ,ive stripped it to sell on a few occasions
i just cant do it

well I had a look at the different options :
Pipe dream is way too different, geometry is too XC.
Genesis looks nice but again head angle is a bit steep, mind you I could put a 130 mm fork to slcken it.
prince albert no geom on the web site.
Kinesis is a no no due to the headset and the head angle.

i agree its all about the geometry on the cove
i love it
its not to xc or to slack
it just raps itself around trails and leaves you wondering why youve
spent so much on your other bikes

ohhhhh I did forgot about this amazing shade of pink 😀
How much is a HJ in the UK? They seems to be rather expensive in France?

There's a number of HJ's that crop up for sale on here - some of which will be older models.

It's a proven, verifiable and accepted empirical FACT that they are the best HT's out there.

I too broke a Handjob, a 2006 vintage one.

I replaced it with a Prince Albert, all components were swapped straight over, no other changes and I found the PA to be a far more inspiring and enjoyable ride, far easier to push hard on, not as twitchy.

I was gutted when I broke the Handjob but I soon forgot about it when I rode the PA, half the price as well.

Cheers spaceman, but lloks like that it's either going to be a kona, a commencal a sobre or a handjob. No-one else seems to be imported in France 🙁

Hi IP, thanks for the offer, but I am going to buy a French Ht 😉
A SOBRE, not sure if it's going to be a multi or a spam, but the mutli seems to be at the moment my best choice due to the nice green colour 😉
