I need to replace my ageing frame, need a decent HT frame that will take 150mm forks and me at 6'3",to do mostly trail riding with some DH thrown in, I'm not much of a jumper so that doesn't matter

My mate has a BFe, I like it, also looking at the Stanton Slackline 613, any thoughts?

Like you said, either the BFe or the Stanton 631. Pick whichever one you like the look/price of more.

Why would I be underwhelmed?

slackine, great fun bike nimble and quick. Best hardtail i've ridden has the same fun factor as the cove stiffee but easier on my poor old back. BFe is nice but I just prefer the slackline.I'm 6 foot and ride the 18" and theres plenty of room even with a 50mm stem.

I'm really liking my Slackline 631. I'm 6'2" and the 18" fits nicely.

Why not the steel 456 evo 2. I have one, I am biased, but I've been getting on with it brilliantly.

The frame has some compliance, seems very tough, looks great, at a brilliant price. What's not to like?

I normally have the seat slammed fully down to be honest as I put it together as a bike for playing round on 4x tracks and very short DH runs etc at the likes of Chicksands bike park. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how nicely it pedals as I thought it would be on the small side for that. I can't really say how much post I run for pedally riding really other than more than it that picture, but not so much that it requires a huge long post or looks ridiculous. I'm now considering getting a dropper as I'm moving the post up and down more than I thought I would. Unfortunately I'd really be after a KS lev for the big 150 mm drop and really can't justify the £350, or whatever they are, at the moment!
