My missus is thinking of swapping her EX8 for a hardtail as she feels she isn't using a full suss to its full potential. Budget likely to be aroun a grand, obviously the more bike she can get for that price the better so 2nd hand looking likely. Not got a clue when it comes to hardtails, so my question is whats a good HT for that price?

have a look at a Ragley Piglet but depends what sort of riding she does really. Boardman/Nerve worth a look for more XC type stuff.
