Any others than m-prep or super lube? They seem quite expensive.
I used to use Castrol CL grease for my wheel bearings and is similairly gloopy to the stuff I put in the turner...
You don't use much. To my mind (and for my bike) it's such a lovely frame, it deserves superlube (less sticky than m-prep).
Been using normal finish line stuff and wanna start using something thinner. Yeah guess it doesn't need much so might just get super lube.
Arf - don't google Superlube on eBay to check prices and then have your missus borrow your phone to look for new purchases...
Condor were selling m-prep really cheap a few months ago and I stupidly didn't buy any.
I've got some M Prep left, no more Turner frames 🙁
David turner only ever recommended the original runny green prep-m, not the sticky straw coloured stuff they changed it too.
He's on record on mtbr or somewhere a couple of years ago saying any thin grease is good. Thick and sticky doesn't migrate down the helix of the journal bush.
M prep is the best for Turner frames, it needs to be really thin to get into the winds on the journal bearings.
Anything too thick tends to get gunked up and not work properly... like Park grease.
Edit. Damn scienceofficer got there just before me!
Hope I haven't worn anything out by using thick grease. Thin all the way now.

that's my experience, can you recommend a thin grease?
I use this in preference.

Dave Turner has posted on MTBR saying any thin grease, including Vaseline, works fine in Igus journal bearings. It is not there to lubricate the bearing but rather to keep water out.
The ceramic grease looks good but not sure if it will fit my grease gun. One of the comments says it's thinner than usual grease. Probably could squeeze that tube into a tube that fits my gun.
It is thinner than 'normal' grease.
Gentleman's relish.
i've always used vaseline with turner frames. works fine.
ky works great for dry conditions, but in the wet it disappears pretty quickly
(the first part of my post was serious, the second part less so... althogh i have once packed a rear hub with ky)
I'm sure there is a thread on mtbr with David turner himself recommending the super lube stuff.
There is, it's why I switched from m-prep. He said it was less sticky and doesn't make a mess everywhere like m-prep.
Just get some Super Lube. It's what Turner recommends (now) and sells on their site. But if you look about you can find it fairly cheap.
