I have a garmin 810 with OS maps on an SD card, and looking to update. What are the GPS options with OS mapping right now?
Doesn't have to be garmin, but if I could use the SD card I have that might be good.

I'd be happy with another 810 tbh, but might be hard to find one in great condition? The usb socket on mine is a bit corroded, screen scratched AF, but it does everything I want AFAIK.

I've got no bike specific Garmin experience. I use a bar mounted GPS 62s with OS maps & Viewranger on a Samsung phone as a backup. The Garmin screen is small & not the easiest to see. Good for following a pre loaded route but the screen is like something from a 1980's phone. Viewranger especially on a smartphone screen is excellent. Easy to see, good maps that can all be pre-downloaded if you have a subscription. You can have four different log-on's with each subscription. I'd have the phone on a bar mount but I fall off a lot so don't fancy smashing it pieces.

Viewranger, great. GPS62's not so much.

Thks @Davesport, I use backcountry navigator OS maps on my phone and it's great, good for backup like you say.

Bump for anyone running OS maps on a bike gps - what head unit are you using?
