I've had an edge 305 for 7-8 years and function wise its just what I want. Its pretty much dead now after one too many wet rides.
I want the same functionality' not too bothered with base maps but do want to follow a bread crumb trail. Can I do this on an edge 500?
The 500 for me fits exactly in where my 205 used to fit in - direct replacement and more.
Breadcrumb trails are even better , use the right website and import tcxs and it will flash on screen at waypoints telling you which way to turn.
Any idea if the old heart rate straps work with the 500. Trying to work out which bundle to get. Thanks
No idea. My girlfriends edge 305 one seems to work though.
The soft strap is a huge improvement over the original garmin strap though
