need to glue my morewood badge back on after having it powdercoated,
the badge i took off had a type of sticky/soft backing double sided tape, does anyone know what i can get and where i can get something suitable/durable for the job..?
2 part epoxy
Halford sell the same type of tape that's on the back of your badge.
I used it to stick a head badge on and it's not fallen off yet.
i reckon my old man would have some of that in his garage...
edit just checked he has... 😀
superglue worked for my old SC one
3M VHB is what you need
Some 3M VHB double sided adhesive gel tape is best. Auto trim tape also works fine, 2 part epoxy (araldite) will also do the job but is harder to make it neat and difficult to remove should you need to. For the tapes, make sure the back of the badge and headtube are perfectly clean. Warm both the surfaces and the tape with a hairdryer and you will get a very good bond. Be aware that even with tape you won't get full bond strength for around 24 hours after application.
