... that can take a 200 x 57 coil shock?

The reason why that is important is that I have an Elka stage 5 on my current frame and would very much like to carry it over, although I realise I would probably have to send it away to get it re-valved.

The current Nicolai Helius AC takes a 200x57 damper and the 2009/2010 style Helius AM also takes a 200x57 (I have one myself and run a CCDB on it).

The UK distributor has three of these slightly older style frames for sale at £1250, reduced from £1700 (one large, two medium) and they would suit the Elka very well. There is a chap in France currently running an Elka on this Helius AFR - check on the Nicolai user forum on MTBR.

I thought the first part would have been fairly obvious, based on the shock I want to use on it.

Budget? Not sure yet, just testing the waters at the moment to see what is out there.

Hahaha still struggling there Tony? How about an Intense SS? An issue of Dirt a month or so ago raved about it and said that it is truly a "do-anything" type of bike.

Ease up fella, here's the description from elka's website:

'The Stage 5 mountain bike shock is specifically designed, engineered and custom-tuned for downhill, freeride and all-mountain riding'

So which is it? Doesn't seem obvious to me when you have three choices.....

Fair enough Tony.

True, but the amount of slating people get on this forum for using such phrases, regardless of how useful they may be, just convinced me to stay away from that whole can of rabid badgers.

Yeah, you do have a point there; it's a shame really, and I do have to apologise as I thought you came across as a being a smart arse when really you weren't meaning to.. bum

No need to apologise, forums are very unexpressive places and it's difficult to judge people's intentions without seeing their face or hearing their voice.
