trek EX, full floater design is excellent and i've tried 4 bar and single pivot before, i can't compare it to VPP though as i've not tried it

Canyon outlet section of the website has some really cheap stuff going, seems to get some great reviews for their frames.

might be worth a look for a bargin. 2009/2010 frames are crazy cheap

The Canyons are not really floating my boat 🙁

I suppose what i am after is a frame like m y old prophet but with a 30.9 seat tube. Apart from a heckler i can't think of anything under £1k

I suppose a Prophet again and a 27.2 dropper post (that isn't a gravity dropper) would be perfect!

Pace RC405 seems to fit your spec well and can be had for £999 on CRC or Wiggle are knocking them out with BB and headset for £1099 - quite tempted myself

Zesty frame off eBay?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130475084149&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123

I'm not the seller but pretty rare opportunity to get a frame only so thought I'd mention it.
